Baking ideas for life: A 8-week all day saturday program
Participants will explore a multitude of ways to be an active participant in life and the many ways in which individuals contribute to the world they inhabit. The program exposes young adults to a range of hands-on, forward-thinking career related experiences that combine food, entrepreneurship, and creative thinking. Program activities may include: subjects like game design and prototyping, self-care and wellness, budgeting money, communication design and social media strategies. We will also learn to work together to build an understanding about where food comes from, and how to make it, eat it and share it.

bakers in training: 3-month program
Participants will learn (and for some) continue to build knowledge andunderstanding about where food comes from, and how to make it, bake it and share it. They will learn the importance of localand sustainable sourcing while gaining practical skills on the many aspects of baking (science, preparation and safety) in addition to cleaning of tools and safe handling and processing of baked goods. Unique to our vision, Night Owl Bakers will also learn how effective communication design, social media and marketing plays a vital role in building sustainable enterprise.

14-week apprenticeship program
Our apprenticeship program takes place in the Night Owl Bakery and/or another location with a select partner. During their employment, they will learn additional skills in business administration, food sourcing, making of new products, inventory management and quality control. Participants will be required to apply their knowledge about communications and marketing, problem solving, supply chain management, and ways technology and social networks leverage economies of scale.
